I walked into the yard last week
after walking with the dog
and was greeted with a symphony of
SPRING
I know, they had been blooming for quite some time and one by one they popped their heads up.
but to walk through the gate and see it all together, all at once
well, I was just thrilled.
and my neighbor's gift of amaryllis - from December - has given me four giant blooms
they are so beautiful, I just can't stand it, my heart just sings
because of her friendship, and because of the blooms
and then it hit me!
it's "Tangerine Tango", the Pantone Color of the Year!

I just used orange in my first Dresden Plate today. It didn't turn out like I had hoped, but my orange fabric is beautiful! Thanks for the chance to win the book!
Made a babyquilt with some orange in it. Loved it!
I love using orange. Lately i've been trying to use more orange and yellow. Bright cheerful colors! I have a son, so usually I end up using oranges, blues, greens. You know, boy colors. I have recently seen some beautiful quilts that use orange and dark blue. Might have to try that.
I'm using orange at the moment - Joel Dewberry's Heirloom! in a wedding quilt for my niece!
I just used orange in a pillow swap - some from my swap partner and some from my stash. I love it in a vibrant large floral!
I'm going to Facebook right now (I promise) to "like" you!

There is some orange in some of the coins in my coin quilt I'm working on. It looks great! I'm not an orange person, but I'm loving it in quilts! Thanks for a chance to win! :)
I don't use orange that much, when I do it's in little splashes for pop, it's magic like that.
Hi!
I am new to quilting but I have a quilt top I finished some time ago that has orange in it. :)
I look forward to making a quilt out of it :)
Thank you for the chance!

I used orange in a baby quilt for a real pop of color. It looks great. I have always been partial to the color orange and am thrilled that it's "the" color this year.
I use lots of orange Natalie. Its my sil's favorite color and so the baby's room has it as an accent. her quilt is orange and white (well one of her quilts...lol) and I have been throwing it in a lot more than I ever thought i would!
I started to use orange when I made 2 high school graduation quilts for granddaughters in 2010. I'd never been a fan before, but now I use it quite a bit in my scrappy quilts. It gives it a lot of PUNCH. Kathie L in Allentown
Thanks, all of you, for starting the ball rolling on this giveaway! I agree, Orange, is a magic color, a fresh color, and certainly something that adds a little pop here and there! When we're done with this giveaway, I will post about my all orange string quilt....and give you a peek at my use of orange last summer. Thanks again, to all of the followers!
I just finished up a scrappy log cabin using brights with included some fabulous orange.
Hi Natalie!
Don't think I have ever used orange in a quilt, except maybe in a multicolored print. There's always a fitst time, though!
Thanks for the give away!

I used orange in a crazy quilt and I am getting ready to use it in a quilt along by Elizabeth Hartman called The Tokyo Subway Map. I love the bright, cheery, vibrant look of orange. deanie.dreams@gmail.com
The most orange quilt I even made was HOT - orange, hot pink, and yellow, all pulled from the border fabric.
I'm crazy about orange and adding pink splashes to it. Those clivia's make a spectacular show under the trees in my garden in South Africa, my dad used to propagate them for market.
I wore my newly made brown and beige owl cell phone cover round my neck to book club the other day and was surprised to get a whole lot of orders for nook covers with animal motives on. I was surprised and elated that people would appreciate my covers and I was a beginner at that.
I have to wear this little $15 Tracfone SVC phone for seniors around my neck for emergencies and what I like about this little phone is that it has large keys and large letters on the screen so I don't strain my eyes taking and making calls. You might find it convenient to use and it only cost me $7/months for service.
I used some orange in a Halloween block. Will it be a lonely block? Or will I make more?
I am not a fan of orange, but that said, it can really liven up a quilt.I've used some orange in the Yellow Brick Road I'm working on for my grandson. Cuz the Seuss prints all have it.
I used orange in a mug rug I made for a friend as a Christmas present. It had a sunset theme and I used various Kona oranges and yellows to create an abstract sunset. I loved the creative process in making that mug rug and it made me very happy to give it to my friend.
I am using orange in a star sampler quilt right now! I adore orange!
