Martingale & Company Book Giveaway

Book Giveaway
thank you
this is a book I really don't want to give away
not that I really want to part with any of the titles
but this is a really versatile book
and has a ton of projects that I would make for friends, for presents
caps, gloves, satchels, cuffs
yes, I do seem to always have something on the needles
don't many of you knit as well as quilt?
if you are new to knitting, this would be a good book for you
it has single, small, achievable projects
and the book starts with all of the basics and all of the abbreviations you will need to succeed
(look at how cute these gloves are!!)
there are even a few jewelry projects, which I for one, have not attempted (yet)

so, of course, I have to ask
please, become an official follower of the blog
we'd like you to like us on facebook
(you could even invite a friend to become a follower!  that would be grand!)
and leave an answer to the question:

when do you knit?
how do you split your time between knitting and quilting?

thank you again to
Martingale & Company
for the books for the giveaways
and thanks to you for stopping by to leave a comment
you know, I always say
we're only as good as our followers, our customers, our quilt show visitors

It is Wednesday! ...and the winner is...

Congratulations!

"There is some orange in some of the coins in my coin quilt I'm working on. It looks great! I'm not an orange person, but I'm loving it in quilts! Thanks for a chance to win! :)"

Remember, we'll be selecting a new book this Sunday
and announcing a new winner
next Wednesday.

I think I will select one of the new
Modern Quilt
books
for next week's giveaway.
Whaddya think?

You talk, we listen!

Book Giveaway - Tangerine Tango

I walked into the yard last week
after walking with the dog
and was greeted with a symphony of
SPRING
I know, they had been blooming for quite some time and one by one they popped their heads up.
but to walk through the gate and see it all together, all at once
well, I was just thrilled.
and my neighbor's gift of amaryllis - from December - has given me four giant blooms
they are so beautiful, I just can't stand it, my heart just sings
because of her friendship, and because of the blooms
and then it hit me!
it's "Tangerine Tango", the Pantone Color of the Year!
so, out of the box, I picked a not so new book, but a great quilt technique book nonetheless
that was as close to orange as I could come
leave me a comment, and please, be sure you are a follower
so that I can contact you to let you know
on wednesday
that you won!!

please tell me
when was the last time you used
orange
in a quilt
and how did you like working with the color?
