As noisy as they are a peaceful moment was watching fireworks. The music (patriotic) that accompanied them was great and allowed us to think back on why we celebrate this day.

So far, my most peaceful moment was this morning. I woke up early (6:15) and got up to make the coffee. While it was brewing, I sat and made a mental list of all I wanted to do and what I needed to do today so I had a game plan for the day.

Most peaceful moment... probably napping on the couch at my in-laws, listening to my family chattering in the kitchen, churning ice cream on the deck, all with the buzz of anticipation for an evening of fireworks

Most peaceful moment was just sitting on a bench in my garden enjoying the weather, the birds, and watching the wind blow the leaves.

Not much in the way of peaceful moments here this weekend - this very moment may be the most peaceful, catching up on blogs!

My peaceful moments come in the early hours. My family and i run on different sleep shifts. I get up early normally and my sleep cycle did not change much, so i have had many peaceful hours before the rest of the house awakens.

15Reading the paper and drinking a cup of coffee first thing in the morning before anyone is up is the most peaceful moment of the day for me.

We spread a blanket on the ground for the fireworks on the 4th. The kids were so relaxed watching the ducks swim by that they went to sleep while waiting for the fireworks to start.

Just now I was in a grove of trees on our lot, watching our chickens bustle about, as our dogs wandered about, tails wagging. Very, very serene. Now, on to housework, renewed.

Walking westward my male miniature schnauzer, in awe of the setting sun. He loves sunsets as much as I.

As strange as it may sound, sitting with my family and our dogs at the end of a fun and exhausting day and enjoying the fireworks show. Just being there together, sitting, relaxing, talking, watching the sky light up. I loved it!

Natalie, we just returned from an Alaskan trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and I have to tell you that The Tracey Arm Fjord was the most serene place in this world. It looks like God was still creating the earth there. I will never forget this the rest of my life

The most peaceful moment of this holiday weekend was when I was prepping veggies for the fajitas. It was just a relaxing and smooth time for me in the kitchen and that rarely happens...lol

The most peaceful moments were spent sitting on the beach, doing nothing but catching some rays! I need to slow down and do that more often. Thanks for the chance to win.
