#SewPink Initiative Blog Hop 2025

#SewPINK Initiative Blog Hop 2025

It is my sincere pleasure to be a part of byAnnie.com ' s

Blog Hop once again.

My mother, Norma Rose, wanted nothing more than to

attend the Breast Cancer Survivor's Banquet.....

but things did not work out that way for her.

So any time I can support what Annie is doing

during this Initiative, I am honored to do so.

It is near and dear to my heart

Every day this month, you have the chance to touch base

with this great group of designers that Annie has assembled.

#SewPINK Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop 2025

"Join us each day in October for a blog hop of inspiration and education, as well as a fundraiser through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and charity sewing opportunities. Be sure to check out each day's blog for information and giveaway opportunities."

Thank you Annie for your generous use of your platform for this great educational event.

I do have a gene that is genetic. My sister has breast cancer that came from this gene. It was suggested I get tested. I have the gene and it was recommended that I have a hysterectomy to help avoid breast cancer. I thought that was weird but I did it.

I was just diagnosed with Pagets in May…lumpectomy on 8/26 & soon to start radiation. Grateful it was caught early and no chemo was required!

I have had many friends with breast cancer and both sister in laws. Thank you for helping to spread the awareness and supporting a cure!! The zip pouches are lovely! Would be a great project to make and donate to a cancer center!

Found a lump June last year - they had 3 attempts to remove & get clear margins then was about to start radiotherapy & oncologist saw dots on my lung! Had to have an op to remove them before we could move forward
- finally had lung op then passed back to oncology by which time the window of opportunity had passed for radiotherapy. Have had check up recently with both breast & lung teams & no recurrence- will be checked up yearly for the time being & have just got to keep taking the tablets. So I feel I got away lightly with no chemo or radiotherapy! Sewing was my way to take my mind of what was going on!!

I was diagnosed a year ago with breast cancer, had surgery and radiation. It's been quite the journey. Thank you for being part of this blog hop.

Thank you for spreading awareness. As a 13 year Reproductive cancer survivor it feels good to have awareness and representation for all survivors. I thank God for my healing. Quilting has helped me through many health challenges. Ladies please remember your monthly and yearly breast check-ups!

I do not have the gene and do my annual mammograms. I had two aunts with breast cancer and also ovarian cancer. Lung cancer on my dad's side. My son, 34 years old, was diagnosed in June with stage 4 rectal cancer-large tumor. So cancer hits everyone. Thanks for bringing awareness!

I fortunately have never had to deal with this awful condition personally, but my dear friend and office mate has. Today she had a mastectomy and can now be called a survivor!!!

I am a 16 year breast cancer survivor, Oct. 26 is my cancer-versary. I am fortunate to have great doctors, a wonderful family and friends for my support system. Everyone needs to self-check, get mammograms, and be aware.
