I'll be celebrating Halloween at a costume party. Love the idea of your friend's "finger" food!

We put a big arrow sign on our decorated walkway that says "we're next door" and we greet all the ghosts and goblins from our neighbor's driveway while eating chili and cornbread!

Normally we like to go all out and decorate the yard and house but this year we will be out of town. So, we plan on celebrating Halloween in Oklahoma in any way we can :)

Halloween at our place is a haunted house. It's turned into a neighbor thing and we have so much fun. Lots of blood, cobwebs, real coffins, scary costumes. We actually can't let little kids in, but the older ones love it.

Some of my family will be out of town on the 31st, so it may be a quiet evening this year. So it may just be hot dogs and chili on the menu ;-)

Sorry, but that's what I'll be doing, answering the doorbell and handing out candy! Kathie L in Allentown

We live in the country so never get trick or treaters. My husband is going to carve some pumpkins out of logs for decorations. Will watch Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin and read my fav childrens halloween book "Two Too Many".

We will be at the door with candy. But I put up the baby gate and leave the front door open and let our bulldog Spike join in the fun. He never barks or jumps but just loves seeing all the kids and many remember him from year to year! Oh, he wears a bandana only too, no costumes for my tough guy!

I will be celebrating Halloween by participating in a murder mystery party on the 30th & flying to Hawaii to visit my boyfriend on the 31st! :) Halloween in Honolulu!

Love the finger food! We accidentally scheduled a trip out of town for half the family over the weekend, so the rest of us are going down the street to join a "group candy hand-out station"... kids get candy, adults get jello shots:)

Every year our friends hava a great Haloween party. Hubby and I will be going as "Two Peas in a Pod". Yes, dressed in green and stuck together all night!=)
Thanks for the opportunity to win what looks like a great book.

Sorry, but all I'll be doing is handing out candy, and at that, I'll only do it til about 8:00pm. After that, it's the big kids so I turn off the light & go quietly to watch TV!
But love the finger food!

Every year we show a movie on our garage door with a projector while Trick or Treat is happening in our neighborhood. We've shown old black and white movies like Frankenstein and Dracula and we've shown Disney movies like Monster House and Monsters, Inc. We have a fire in our firpit, hand out sodas (and beer for the adults) and generally have a party in our driveway!

We live in a rural area and will celebrate Halloween on the 29th and 30th. My birthday and brother's annual cookout and hayride are first. He drives a hay wagon with lil'kiddies all over the farm at night and across the fields to our house. We are "THE candy stop" and werewolves. The kiddies get to see wildlife, cows, horses, etc. Then, the next day we have a "Halloween themed" baby shower for my niece followed by trick-or-treat evening visits by older kids. Lots of fun! Thanks to you and Martingale for this great giveaway. alternate email mlwright29 (at) hotmail (dot) com

I constructed "Scary Joe" the stuffed person (don't call him a dummy!) who sits on our porch. Complete with hatchet sticking out of his bloody shirt, skull head with mis matched eyes and skeleton hands. He is framed by genuine (courtesy of a friend) "Police Line Do Not Cross" yellow tape!

I still don't know what I'll be doing for Halloween, but I know I'll be dressed up as a witch!

It's my son's first Halloween. He's 3 months old so I'll spend the evening trying to beat the kids to the door before they can ring the doorbell.

I'll be taking my daughter Trick or Treating. Then I get to "inspect" all the candy (yum yum)

I've already sent goodies to the grandchildren via usps. I sent them each a new, nana-made flannel pillowcase to collect their goodies in and each household has a new Halloweeny table runner to decorate inside. Had some lovely studio time making them and thinking of my loved ones.
The night will be quiet here, no trick or treaters around here, too rural. Just a quiet night for 2.

My husband and I will be celebrating Halloween with dinner out and then passing out candy to the kids.

Not quite Halloween, but I'm going to a conference next week and the banquet will be on a pirate ship--so I made pirate-y t-shirts for myself and my friend from work that we'll be wearing.
