I'd love to live in a log cabin. Log cabins are usually located in the woods or near a lake or stream. Being closer to nature and not living in the city would be great!
The mid century post and beam would feel like home to me since I grew up in the 50's and have lots of photos and memories from that era! I guess I gave away my age here :>)

I love a post and beam home. However, a "modern" log cabin by a lake would be a wonderful get away retreat for quilting.
Log cabin because I used to live in one but had to move. It was lovely and quiet in the woods.
I agree with the modern cabin by the lake, but it will have a large quilt studio with lots of natural light. I can dream!
Oh wow, that's a tough question for me because I love both, but I guess if I had to choose, it would be a log cabin because I love the cozy rustic feel and back to basics lifestyle, way back to where quilting began. :)
I would love to live in a log cabin by a lake. I would welcome the laid back life of a cabin. The cabin would have a large space for quilting.

I would love the mid-century post and beam home. I am not a fan of log cabins (house not quilt block) and love the style of a post and beam house. Love the craftsmanship of them.

I've always dreamed of living in an A-frame log cabin in the Black Hills....near a stream, so I can listen to the flowing water. Sigh. But I love the Arts and Crafts style houses, too. They're citified nature in my mind.

I would choose the post and beam , more contemporary but still rustic feeling, with much higher ceilings and lots of light. Near the water or on a hillside with some distant views from my studio windows, please!

Post and Beam built in a setting where you would traditionally find a log cabin that way I can have the best of both worlds. You are more likely to have lots of flat wall space for a design wall that way too.

When I was in my 20s, I was in love with log homes. In my 30s I loved post and beam. What do I live in? A center hall colonial!!

My family and I are lucky enough to have a log cabin in the woods near a lake -- we love it in the summer months. No electricity or phone -- we are completely unplugged! I'm thinking of taking my treadle there.

I would say a modern log cabin, high ceilings and plenty of light in from the outside, stairs going to the loft where you can relax and sew.
I am a log cabin girl. I love the rustic feel and the feeling of the great out doors inside. Greens, rusts, and brown's are my go to colors. It goes along with lakes and campfires. I will not mention mosquitos.

I'd love to live in a midcentury post and beam house with a view of the ocean, because much of my inspiration comes from what I see outside my window. Ironically, my all-time favorite quilt pattern is the log cabin....
I will take a more modern post and beam home.
Mid century post and beam house (if it is what I am thinking it is) I like seeing my house decoration...and with beams and such inside...I get to see it all the time instead of just when I go outside with a log cabin! But with that bundle of beautiful dot fabric...a quilt made of that would make any house beautiful!

I have always loved log cabins and the idea of one in the middle of the forest sounds awesome to me. At my age I don't think that will happen.
I've always wanted to live in a log cabin but haven't yet. The log construction really appeals to me. I think a log cabin would be the perfect place to display that quilts that I make & the antique guilts that I enjoy collecting.

Mid Century post and beam for sure. Love those clean lines. Where I love to stay in a log cabin and enjoy all the wood, coziness and warmth, on a daily basis, MCM is more my style. I love all the open space and windows with the light streaming through.
OH, log cabin for sure! :) I enjoy the texture of logs especially in walls and ceiling beams ... and think of all the fun you can have decorating with quilts!

I'd love a log cabin! The rich warm tones of logs seem so cozy. Thanks for the chance to win this delightful fabric, and thanks for sharing your delightful quilt. I love the contrasts of the bright colors and the gray shades, and the addition of that swirly-lines fabric is perfect! The quilt really keeps the eyes moving.

I would rather live in a log cabin in the Rockies, beautiful scenery, deer, elk and moose visiting...
I would prefer the mid century post and beam at this point. But the log cabin would be great when the 9 to 5 season is over. But quilting makes either a fantastic home!

Log cabin for me! Right now we live in a hundred year old farm house. A log cabin is next on my list; my sister and I always dreamed we'd share a log cabin as old ladies and the grandkids would come visit us there. Doesn't that sound like fun? In between visits we'd be content crazy old cat ladies. Good times.
