I have made lots of mixed poly-cotton or poly-knit quilts without any problems. Never tried linen.

I follow on Facebook IG and Pinterest. Not been too successful mixing but maybe I haven't found the right combo.

I follow on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. I've made a quilt using batiks and printed fabric before and it worked out okay. I love the quilt and would love to see a closer look at the quilting. It looks gorgeous!

I love mixing fabric types - challenging but satisfying to blend fibers! Just started learning to felt so that is fun too!!!

I made a little quilt with cotton, flannel, corduroy. IT WAs a texture quilt for my dad who had Alzheimer's. No problems putting it together. My dad had it with him most of the time. He could fold it up small enough to fit in his pocket. Then he'd take it out and run his hands over it. Then he'd fold it up again and repeat the process.

Hi Natalie,
I follow on fb and your blog. I have been experimenting with alternate fabrics - specifically I challenged myself to do this in 2015. I used shot cotton and also linen. I didn't love the way shot cotton sewed - it frays madly but did give a wonderful textural quality to the quilt. Regarding linen - I am a BIG fan now. I will be using a lot of linen in my future projects. Thanks for asking and keep the good conversation going.

I follow you on FB, IG, Pinterest and Bloglovin'. I'm still a newbie and trying to get the basics down, so I haven't branched out into using different fabrics yet.

Your "Post and Beam" quilt is beautiful!
I follow y'all by email and FB.
So far, the only fabrics I've used in my quilts has been cotton and wool (for applique). I'm curious how the yarn dye, linens and lawns relate to wear and wash as cottons do?

I recently purchased a piece of cotton lawn fabric to try. I haven't decided on a quilt to use it in. I'm following you on Pinterest and Instagram.

I'm thinking about buying rayon squares from Jams World. They are 10 inches square and typical Jams world designs. I think they would work with post and beam.

I follow you on all three locations plus on bloglovin! I have made a quilt using some corduroy but I would really love to make some quilts using Essex linnen and experimenting with lawn and other types of fabrics! Thanks for the giveaway. I am keeping my fingers crossed!
