it really is
the happiest place on earth
I don't think I can remember the last time I visited Disneyland
But if you have been following along, you'll know I had a good friend
come and stay with me after the International Quilt Festival quilt show
And a part of that stay was a special pass "to the happiest place on earth"
thanks K & M, thanks Joe, thanks Mom & Dad
From a design and color and shape standpoint
you just can't beat Disneyland.
As a commercial designer, I always wanted to work in the design department.
Now, all I want to do is work in their nursery - the gardens.
the sights, the sounds
And from an inspiration standpoint,
you just can't beat the happy
the smiles
the excitement
the anticipation
of
Disneyland
I hope one day you all will have the chance to stand on Main Street USA
and watch the fireworks over the castle
and see Dumbo fly across the sky
and enjoy just a little bit of magic in your life
for just one moment more
"When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true"
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing
Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true"

Yes, it truly is a happy place. Doesn't Tinkerbell fly over the castle anymore?
we honeymooned in Disneyland, and I can't wait to take my son there one day... it is too much fun! :)
I love Disneyland, and yes, it is the happiest place on earth--at the very least one of them! I haven't been in years, and am feeling the pull to go soon--hopefully next February when my youngest is 3.
My godmother worked on the original Small World dolls and creations as an artist just out of design school--isn't that neat?
Have fun!
As I live in Florida, Disneyworld is a similar place of inspiration. Once heard a man speak about creativity - he had worked with Walt Disney - amazing. Right now we are building our summer memories, like both grandnieces (just turned 2 and 5) in their cute little dresses at church on Sunday.
